In January 2003, formerly the Strand College of Beauty Therapy (Orange Campus) Pty. Ltd. became “The International Beauty Institute”. The Principal recognised the need for a private Beauty Therapy College so that people did not have to travel to the city, to train and obtain the necessary qualification/s that they aspired to.
In 2005 Kristine Bennett became the new Principal Executive Officer of the college and remains to provide this service to regional NSW. The Institute has modern facilities and uses premium quality products. In 2005 IBI began to offer courses in Remedial Massage and Makeup Artistry, later in 2006 the college recognised the need for training in the Hairdressing industry .
The Institute will offer Certificate II in Hairdressing in 2007. The college has also opened a new campus in Crows Nest to provide training for metropolitan areas specifically in nail technology and Certificate III in Beauty Services.
The lecture rooms are spacious, airy and well equipped with teaching aids, e.g. charts, overhead projector, video and video library, book library, just to name a few. The practical work areas have all the required current facilities. With these facilities each student is able to maximise their potential in the challenging field of hairdressing, beauty therapy, nail technology, massage and related studies.
Whilst training at INTERNATIONAL BEAUTY INSTITUTE students will enjoy small training classes with facilitators who have been lecturing in their industries for a number of years and who regularly review their teaching methods and consistently upgrade their knowledge and skills in their chosen profession.
The facilitators have been employed by the Institute because of the specialised topic they teach and their own expertise, ensuring that motivated students continue to achieve competent results during and upon completion of their training.
