COURSE OUTLINE:
This Course will enable graduates to carry out beauty services at an advanced level as a Beauty Therapist.

1200 Hours Face to Face (Including 100 hours work experience)

Diploma for Beauty Specialist

Students will learn all aspects of facial treatments, make-up, manicure/pedicure and waxing as well as an in depth understanding of Anatomy and Physiology.

Diploma in Facial Electrical Treatments

This Diploma covers all the Facial Electrical Equipment Treatments including: Faradism, High Frequency, Galvanism, Micro-current and Vacuum Suction.

Diploma in Body Treatments

This diploma covers all aspects of body treatments including figure analysis’s, diet and exercise, body electrical treatments. It also includes further anatomy and physiology of the whole body.

Diploma in Epilation

This diploma covers all aspects of Permanent hair removal, Galvanic, High Frequency and the Blend Method.

Qualification Notes

The Diploma has been designed for those wishing to operate as a beauty therapist employing staff and managing a beauty salon.
Language, literacy and numeracy advice
The National Reporting System informs the identification and description of underpinning English language, literacy and numeracy features and requirements within competency standards.
The learner's language, literacy and numeracy levels are expected to be equivalent to Level 3/4 of the National Reporting System.

Reading and writing - a learner will be able to read, interpret and write a range of complex texts within a variety of contexts.
Oral communication - a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language within a variety of contexts.
Numeracy and mathematics - a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.
Qualification requirements
To achieve a Diploma of Beauty Therapy a total of thirty three (33) units of competency must be completed.  This comprises:
Twenty-three (23) core units, and
Ten (10) elective units including at least eight (8) specialist electives.
